Young Adult Authors to appear June 21 at North Cobb Library

Six authors of young adult fiction will join together at North Cobb Regional Library (NCRL) on 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21 for an afternoon Q&A session, book signings, and more. The free NCRL teens program is sponsored by Cobb County Public Library, Cobb Library Foundation, and The Book Worm Bookstore.

The lineup for the six-authors event include:
- Jill Tew discussing her debut novel The Dividing Sky, a dystopian romance set in 2364, and her forthcoming novel An Ocean Apart, which involves characters struggling to survive in the former location of Miami.
- Auburn Morrow will talk about their contemporary novel, The Trial Period. A review in School Library Journal said, “Morrow's debut offers both fake dating and enemies-to-lovers tropes to swoon over in this sapphic romance, and they both sparkle in a new way.”
- Julian Winters will speak on the Prince of the Palisades, which is about a prince falling for a “not-so-royal American boy.” A review in Publishers Weekly said, “Winters (As You Walk On By) meshes fun-in-the-sun antics with perceptive examinations on new experiences, changing identities, and rebuilding trust in this rollicking romance.”
- Karen Strong, editor of the anthology Cool. Awkward. Black, will also discuss her fantasy novel Eden’s Everdark, the story of Eden, 12, coming to terms with loss and learning about her ancestry as she travels to coastal Georgia and through a magical world.
- Vania Stoyanova, editor of Why on Earth: An Alien Invasion Anthology, will talk about the collection that involves authors’ take on the same storyline of a space rescue mission with a cast of human and alien teenagers.
- Jo Schulte will discuss her debut fantasy novel, The Whisperwood Legacy, which is set in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains and involves a family and the dark secrets of a theme park.
