Cobb Cybersecurity Day 2025
Cobb Cybersecurity Day 2025 (October 3rd at Cobb County Civic Center)
October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and Cobb County Government is excited to provide you with valuable insight into cybersecurity with these event presentations!
EVENT PRESENTATIONS:
- Cyber Education Opportunities (KSU IT)
- Security Risks of AI (Cisco)
- Seeing the Unseen (Elastic)
- Technology Based Crimes (Cobb Police)
As cyber threats continue to evolve and target individuals rather than just infrastructure, cybersecurity education has never been more critical. Since 2004, government and private organizations have joined forces during National Cybersecurity Awareness Month to raise awareness about cybersecurity and data privacy. This year, we brought that mission directly to our community.
This free event featured:
- Expert presentations from local universities and industry vendors
- Insights from Cobb County's Technology-Based Crimes Unit
- Practical guidance on recognizing, rejecting, and reporting cyber threats
- Learn how Cobb County protects your data and personal information
- Career guidance for students interested in cybersecurity fields
- Complimentary catered lunch
- Exciting door prizes including a YETI cooler, Surface Laptop and more! *
- See the Event Agenda below
Help Us Spread the Word! Please share this invitation with:
- Your colleagues and department staff
- Local businesses and community organizations
- Family, friends, and neighbors
- Students and educational institutions
Why Attend? As organizations increasingly rely on digital systems, cybercriminals are focusing their attacks on people rather than technology. By educating users to spot and stop threats, we can protect individuals and safeguard our entire community. One of the most effective defenses against cybercrime is an informed and vigilant public.
Join us in building a more cyber-resilient Cobb County community!
