Unsung Heroes: African-American Soldiers in Sherman's Army

Wednesday, 9/03/2025 - Wednesday, 9/03/2025
06:00pm - 07:00pm

A misconception has persisted since the Civil War’s end: there were no African-American soldiers in Sherman's Army. However, resident expert Brad Quinlin has discovered records proving otherwise. Join us at South Cobb Regional Library on Wednesday, September 3, to hear the story of these men who are finally getting the recognition they deserved, as well as Quinlin’s fascinating journey to discover their stories. Also, be sure to stop by throughout September to see an exhibit dedicated to these unsung heroes!
