Adults with Special Needs Meet Up

Thursday, 12/25/2025 - Thursday, 12/25/2025
11:00am - 12:00pm

Join us for a lively and engaging experience at our Adults with Special Needs Meet-Up, happening every Thursday at the new time of 11 AM during November, December and January! Dive into a world of imagination with an hour of story reading, let your creativity soar with fun activities and crafts, and enjoy the company of friends in a warm and welcoming environment. This safe and inclusive space is designed especially for adults with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers. Come make Thursdays your favorite day of the week with us!

Program Layout: Each session is usually centered around a specific theme. We begin by reading a couple of fun, interactive stories. After the stories, we do an activity such as Bingo, a Scavenger Hunt, or Parachute games. Finally, we have a craft session where everyone creates a project to take home and share. We also welcome community partners, like the Marietta Women's Club, Smith-Gilbert Gardens, Cobb Water, and Kennesaw Mountain National Park Service  who help make our hour-long program exciting and enjoyable for all participants. It can be a large group (50+ people) that some might find overstimulating.

If you have any questions about the program and if it is right for you or your loved one - please reach out! We would love to speak with you.

No registration required. Ages 17+

**The program runs for three months, then takes a one-month break: November-January (on), February (off), March-Mary (on), June (off) and repeats this pattern.
