Town Center’s Noonday Creek Trail Becomes a Destination for Art Lovers

Town Center Community is transforming Noonday Creek Trail into more than just a path for walkers, runners, and cyclists—it’s becoming a cultural journey. With two new murals and the first Tiny Doors ATL installation outside of Atlanta’s perimeter, the trail is quickly evolving into an Art Walk experience.

This fall, muralists Kelsey Wishik and Leigh Ann Culver are adding vibrant new works that will reshape the trail’s underpasses into dynamic community landmarks. Wishik’s mural, Radiant World, wraps a bridge support beam in bold color blocks and floral patterns, symbolizing growth and transformation. Nearby, Culver’s Stained Glass mural will bring light and serenity beneath the bridge with panels and candle imagery that evoke reflection and calm.

On October 25, the community will celebrate another exciting addition: the debut of Tiny Doors ATL along Noonday Creek Trail. Artist Karen Anderson Singer, known for her whimsical seven-inch doors found throughout Atlanta, selected a site on the trail that inspired her to create the first standalone Tiny Door outside the city. The new piece will blend natural elements with playful detail, inviting visitors to stop, wonder, and return again and again.

These new projects join a growing lineup of public art along the 2.8-mile trail. Past and ongoing installations include:

  • “Convergence” mural by Drake Arnold (2022), a colorful gateway at the I-75 bridge.
  • Chimney Swift Tower, designed with Birds Georgia to provide habitat for migratory birds.
  • Art Hatch, a seasonal collaboration with Smith-Gilbert Gardens Art Blooms that showcases egg-shaped art designed by Cobb County students.
  • Fence Art Gallery, a traveling outdoor exhibit curated by the Marietta Arts Council and installed at Aviation Park every February.

“Public art has the power to connect people to the places they live, work, and explore,” said Tracy Styf, executive director of Town Center Community. “By incorporating murals, sculptures, and interactive pieces along the trail, we’re creating opportunities for residents and visitors to experience art as part of everyday life.”

Whether you come for the murals, the Tiny Door, or the seasonal art displays, the Noonday Creek Trail offers something unexpected around every corner—a true blend of art, nature, and community.
