Polls Open on Nov. 4 until 7 pm; Special Election set for Nov. 18
Nov. 4, 2025 - Cobb Elections officials have deployed additional equipment, poll workers, and law enforcement to the Thompson Park Community Center to help reduce lines that have formed outside the precinct. The center, located at 555 Nickajack Road in Mableton, is hosting two precincts and has limited space and parking access.
For this election, voters from the Smyrna 7A precinct were temporarily relocated to the Thompson Park Community Center, joining voters from the Mableton 4C precinct who traditionally vote there.
Residents planning to vote at the Thompson Park Community Center are encouraged to be patient and prepared for potential wait times while the additional resources take effect.
Nov. 4, 2025 - A Cobb County Judge has ordered an east Cobb precinct to stay open late after poll workers experienced technical issues while opening.
Voters could not use the polling place at the Mt. Bethel Church on Lower Roswell Road until 7:35 a.m., which prompted the order to keep the precinct open to voters until 7:35 p.m. tonight. The issue involved syncing the poll pads, but a troubleshooting team quickly remedied the problem.
The precinct, Mt. Bethel 04, is at 4385 Lower Roswell Rd, Marietta.
Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across Cobb County for the November 4 Municipal and PSC Election.
Voting is now underway for the November 4 election, which includes municipal elections in six of Cobb County’s seven cities — all except Smyrna — and a statewide election for two Public Service Commission districts. All registered Cobb County voters are eligible to participate in the PSC contests.
