Thanks to Literacy Week 2025 sponsors Cobb EMC and Gas South, Wednesday’s Preschool Storytime at #SwitzerLibrary featured writer/illustrator Rosemary Wells, the popular author of more than 120 children's books, including many about the beloved bunnies Max and Ruby.

She read from her book The Little Chefs, which has three stories about the joys and challenges of cooking in the kitchen. She also read – for the first time before an audience – from her forthcoming picture book on kindness and other positive behaviors for children to learn and practice for a lifetime.

Rosemary Wells is an American writer and illustrator of children's books. She often uses animal characters to address real human issues. Some of her most well-known characters are Max & Ruby and Timothy from Timothy Goes to School; both were later adapted into Canadian-animated preschool television series, the former airing on Nickelodeon as part of the Nick Jr. block and the latter airing on PBS Kids.
