Each year, Cobb County reviews and updates its codes to ensure they remain effective, clear, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Over time, state laws, best practices, and community needs evolve, and the code must be updated to reflect these changes. Regular revisions help prevent outdated or conflicting rules, ensuring the code continues to serve both residents and businesses fairly.

This process also ensures that Cobb County remains aligned with state standards and requirements. By consistently adopting necessary updates, the County ensures consistency with Georgia’s laws, avoids potential conflicts, and maintains strong, reliable regulations that support safety, growth, and the quality of life in the community.

Code Amendments will be presented at the Work Session on October 28 at 1:30 p.m.

On November 12, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. and on November 20, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., the Board of Commissioners will conduct public hearings to solicit comments and input on proposed amendments to the following Chapters, Articles, Divisions, and Sections of the Official Code of Cobb County, Georgia.

Adoption of the Code Amendments will be considered at the November 20th meeting, following the second public hearing.
